If I had my child to raise over again,
I'd finger-paint more and point the finger less.
I'd do less correcting and more connecting.
I'd take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.
I would care to know less and know to care more.
I'd take hikes and fly more kites.
I'd stop playing more serious, and seriously play.
I'd run through more fields and gaze at more stars.
I'd do more hugging and less tugging.
I would be firm less often, and affirm much more.
I'd build self-esteem first, and the house later.
I'd teach less about the love of power,
and more about the power of love.

子供に指をさして注意ばかりしないで、一緒に指でお絵かきをするでしょう。

間違いを正すより　もっとつながりを持つでしょう。

時計を見るより、この目で見るでしょう。

知識を知りたいと思うより、思いやりを知りたいと思うでしょう。

ハイキングをしたり、カイトをしたりするでしょう。

マジメに取り組むのをやめて、まじめに遊ぶでしょう。

もっとフィールドを駆け、もっと星を眺めるでしょう。

引っ張る代わりに、もっと抱きしめるでしょう。

厳しくするかわりに、もっと肯定的になるでしょう。

自分に自信を持つのが先で、家を建てるのは後でいい。

力を愛することより、愛の力について教えるでしょう。
